Reiki

Reiki 1 Beginner (Shoden)

The First Degree provides a solid foundation in Reiki. It enables you to use Reiki for self-healing, embrace mindfulness and treat your family, friends, pets and plants.

Course requirements:

There are no requirements for Reiki 1. It is open to everyone.

Structure:

• The training is divided into at-home learning and a 1-day in-person training with practical energy work. In total, it will take you around 16 hours and is equivalent to a 2-day course.
• Before our day together, I will send you a comprehensive manual and audio recording to support our in-person training day. This provides detailed resources for your ongoing reference.
• We will spend the majority of the training day on practical energy work, and you will learn the history/benefits of Reiki, the Reiki System and Reiki Principles.
• I will gift you the Shoden level attunement/empowerment to the Reiki energy and teach you how to strengthen your connection using energy exercises such as Hatsu Rei Ho, self-treatment and other exercises.
• After our day together, I will send further audio recordings and meditations for your ongoing personal use.

Ongoing support:

As your Reiki Master Teacher, I am here to support you after your course for as long as you need me.

Reiki 2 Practitioner (Okuden)

The Second Degree leads to a professional qualification, allowing you to offer Reiki as part of a healing practice.

Course requirements:

• Students must have already completed their Reiki 1 training and received the appropriate attunement/empowerments. If you did not complete your Reiki 1 training with me, I will require a copy of your certificate and lineage.
• I recommend that you leave at least 2-3 months between Reiki 1 and Reiki 2 to ensure you have had sufficient time to practice working with the energy.

Structure:

• The training is divided into at-home learning and a 1-day in-person training with me. In total, it will take you around 15 hours and is equivalent to a 2-day course, but it allows you time at home to become really familiar with the theory and the more advanced teachings at this level, including traditional Reiki symbols. The ability to treat members of the public professionally brings greater responsibility, and the legalities are important.
• I recommend that to receive maximum benefit from our day together, you allow at least 2 months to complete the home learning portion of the course first.
• The at-home learning materials consist of a comprehensive manual and audio recordings, which will also support the content of our in-person day. They will also provide ongoing reference material for you.

About:

• I teach in the original, intuitive, Japanese Reiki style as introduced by Dr Mikao Usui. I also ensure you receive the Western teachings.
• The Practitioner, Okuden, level gifts you deeper skills, and you will learn to work with different Reiki energy frequencies, the traditional Reiki symbols, and learn a variety of distant healing techniques.
• During our in-person day together, I will gift you the Okuden level attunement/empowerment. The remainder of the day will focus on practical energy work and how you can continue to develop your intuition, self-healing and your skills when treating others.

Reiki 3 Master Teacher (Shinpiden)

The Third Degree, Shinpiden, is the Reiki Master Teacher level. Whilst Reiki Mastership may be the conclusion of one journey, it is also the start of another and will require an ongoing commitment from you.

Course requirements:

• Students must have already completed their Reiki 1 and 2 training and received the appropriate attunements/empowerments. If you did not do these courses with me, I will require copies of your certificates and lineage(s).
• The personal work and commitment required at this level to achieve true mastery are not for everyone, but for those who are called, I recommend that there should be a minimum of 6 months between Reiki 2 and Reiki 3. Many students find that they need a couple of years before being comfortable to step forward to embrace Shinpiden.

Structure:

• The training is divided into at-home learning and in-person training and is the equivalent of a 5-day course. You will spend around 3 days (20 hours) working through your at-home learning materials, then spend 2 days in person, with me, working with the energy and putting what you have learned into practice.
• The at-home learning materials consist of a comprehensive 200-page manual and audio recordings, meditations and energy exercises. There is even audio guidance on how to pass on the Reiki gift to others, both in the Western attunement style and the beautifully intuitive Reiju empowerments of the original Japanese way in which Mikao Usui himself gifted Reiki to his students. These resources will also provide ongoing reference material for you.
• As we will have 2 days together, we have ample time to focus on working specifically with the energies. It is important at Master Teacher level to fully open yourself up to your intuitive powers and to explore the power of intent. You’ll learn how to allow the energy to guide you and provide you with all the insights you need to help yourself and other people in the most powerful way.
• During our time together, I will gift you the appropriate Shinpiden attunement/empowerment to initiate you into the highest level of the Reiki energies. This will increase the effectiveness of your treatments beyond that achieved at Reiki 2, and I will attune you to further symbols, show you advanced techniques, enabling you to treat others more effectively, gift the Reiki ability to others, and to fully experience the flow of Reiki through your being.
• You will experience special meditations using Kotodama, Shinto mantras taught by Usui Sensei, and deepen your self-healing by focusing on energies which bring powerful physical and emotional balancing and bring a new, deeper sense of connection.
